
The London police, council workers and residents are joining together to step up the effort to clean up London, making the place a cleaner and nicer place before the London Olympics 2012. Graffiti, litter and pesky Himalayan Balsam weed are the main targets.
Deputy Mayor of London Richard Barnes said: “It is a top priority for the Mayor and I to make London a cleaner, more pleasant place, especially as the world’s eyes turn towards us in the run-up to the 2012 Games.
We are sure that Londoners can do the job.
